What projects are the children working on?

The children have enjoyed using Green Screen.
After creating an image linked to the topic on the Amazon, the children had to upload the image into their My Files on the Hwb.

We love using our new dinosaur book with the iPad.
The children have enjoyed this augmented reality activity. Using the iPad they scan the book and then they can move the dinosaur around the classroom.

Our Digital Leaders collect evidence of ICT work from their classes.
This half term the whole school has been focusing on data handling. The Digital Leaders meet every week and they have created a school iBook promoting all this evidence.

Early Years are learning how to stay safe online with Smartie the Penguin.

Our Digital leaders will be leading a whole school assembly on Friday 10th February to promote e-safety online.They will also be introducing 'SMARTIE' the penguin.

Outstanding challenges with OSMO
OSMO has developed the children's confidence in ICT and supported their learning across all areas of the curriculum. The OSMO promotes fine motor skills in addition to mathematical, word building, thinking and creative development.
Year 5 excelled at EXCEL
Following a class trip to Stratford Year 5 used EXCEL spreadsheets to work out the profit/loss of the trip. The children set up a table and added formulae to add and subtract numbers.
SCRATCH and computing throughout the school
From Bugs and Buttons on the iPads to programming beebots, the children in the Foundation Phase begin programming at an early age. Their skills are developed in Years 3 and 4 with the app 'Hopskotch' which is followed by SCRATCH in Years 5 and 6.
Meet our Digital Leaders (past and present!)
Our new ICT digital leaders are looking forward to a challenging time ahead. Their role is to:-
- help with the everyday maintenance of the iPads – including testing out new apps;
- help develop e-safety across the school;

generally promote ICT across the school.
