Loop cards are a favourite in Year 4! We have been looking at large numbers and ordering them from smallest to largest too.
Year 4 have enjoyed some time out of the classroom recently in the school woods. They have enjoyed working together to complete some team building activities.
What’s happening this term?
This term we will concentrating on CLIMATE CHANGE.
Numeracy – place value/rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000, the four rules linked to money and real life problem solving.
Literacy – Writing a discussion text linked to climate change and weekly spelling/grammar lessons. Joined handwriting/letter formation is a key focus too!
Topic – To follow on from our SAVE THE BEES we will be looking at climate change across the world. Our DT project will also be linked to how we can prevent climate change in the form of RECYCLING/UPCYCLING!
Science – Plants and animals. Last Spring we planted lots of bulbs which we are enjoying now. This term we will be creating a bee friendly garden. We will plant seeds, grow bee friendly plants and herbs. We will also be planting strawberries and nasturtiums.
Cymraeg – The present tense. Our first task will be to describe Greta Thunberg using the sentence patterns below.
