Keeping fit, health and wellbeing!
Year 5 are enjoying keeping fit in weekly PE sessions. Recently we have been practising cross country and team games such as football and netball.
We investigated thermal insulation for the best coffee cup.
We discovered that tin was the best thermal insulator although the cardboard cups were good and would be a better alternative for a take-away cup. We were also mindful of which material would be better for the environment.
Coding continues!
Year 5 are looking forward to continuing their ICT coding this year alongside Ysgol Greenhill. Special thanks to their Digital Leaders for coming in to teach us and challenge us with a Microbit project.
What’s happening this term?
In Year 5 our driver this half term is Science looking at Space and the work of Katherine Johnson.
Maths will largely include the four rules, area/perimeter, fractions and plenty of problem solving questions to challenge us.
Welsh will include ‘Dyma fi’ All About ourselves.
Mr Tom Davies from Pembrokeshire Sport will be delivering Health and Well-being.
Lots more to look forward to!
