What’s happening this term?

We have an exciting and busy term ahead! Here’s what we’ll be learning:
Our main topic is A journey from Wales to Patagonia. We’ll explore migration, the location and links between our countries.
In English, we’ll be reading Wonder by R J Palacio.   Our writing this term will include character descriptions and poetry.
In Maths, we’ll continue to focus on place value, including negative numbers, and continue to build confidence in using the four operations to solve a range of problems.  In addition, area and perimeter, as well as fractions.
Our Science learning begins with studying how the eye works and how light travels. We’re also looking forward to welcoming the Darwin Centre for some hands-on science workshops!
In Welsh, we’ll be learning to share opinions and practising the Urdd poem.  We will also be using Meistroli and competing against other schools in the county.
Additionally, pupils will have the opportunity to attend a Dementia Friends games morning at Regency Hall, where they’ll connect with members of the community affected by dementia and build meaningful relationships through play.
We are looking forward to a term full of learning, discovery, and memorable experiences!
